The CheckMark PIP is built around three core elements: inspector training and certification; comprehensive standards and criteria; and uniform inspection procedures. The inspector training and certification process ensures corporate management controls support program integrity. Participating facilities must meet comparable standards for tools, infrastructure, and seamless management controls. Finally, all CheckMark PIP certified inspectors meet the same rigorous training, testing, and audit requirements.
Uniform inspections begin with comprehensive inspection standards and criteria. The CheckMark inspection standards and criteria are built on FMCSR Part 396.17 with Appendix G, Part 393 and industry best practices. This approach ensures a comprehensive standard able to address today's sophisticated equipment and demanding operating environment.
The uniform inspections are delivered by CheckMark PIP certified inspectors with ongoing quality oversight - all of this supported by a sophisticated technology platform for capturing and managing your inspection data. Finally the CVSA sanctioned PIP Decal is applied to each piece of equipment satisfying the inspection standards and criteria.
